Internet archaeology from /r9k/, 2014–2015.
Teehee the Meme Fairy emerged on /r9k/ in December 2014—a pink, antennaed gremlin chirping "Teehee~." Anons role-played as the character ("I'm Teehee, the Meme Fairy~ Teehee~"), spawning a mini-cult of chirpy posts and crude edits. A brief /s4s/ crossover followed, then the fairy vanished.
I dug through thousands of archived pages and recovered some of the OG posts. This site preserves that tiny, glittering fossil.
Found more Teehee posts from Dec 2014. Why did this hit /r9k/ so hard? 'I'm Teehee, the Meme Fairy~ Teehee~' wasn't just cute—it felt targeted.
Someone said it best: 'Someone who is angry and hateful and tries to hide it under silly and cheerful behavior.' That's Teehee—a mask meme.
Exactly. The sugar-sweet voice stretched over raw bitterness. It's so /r9k/ it hurts.
Dumping finds from the archives. Rainbow cries, scribble faces, and roleplay screencaps. Post filename + where you saw it.
teehee_rainbowcry.png — cropped from a 2015 /s4s/ reply. Peak fairy energy.
teehee_masked.png — pairs perfectly with the 'mask meme' interpretation.
